Overview

The 3D Print Masters Competition is Australia’s first-ever scale model-building event focused entirely on resin 3D printing, offering participants a chance to showcase their creativity, technical expertise, and innovative approach to model-making. This groundbreaking competition invites two teams to take on the challenge of designing, printing, and finishing detailed dioramas over 45 hours. Equipped with the latest MSLA resin printers, cleaning solutions, ultrasonic cleaners, and a range of finishing tools such as airbrushes and compressors, participants will have everything they need to create stunning high-quality models.

With limited supplies and time, competitors must navigate the entire 3D printing process, from concept design to the intricate post-processing phase, where they will paint and refine their models to perfection. The competition fosters a collaborative and competitive environment where innovation and craftsmanship are critical to success.

This event highlights the cutting-edge capabilities of resin 3D printing. It offers a glimpse into the future of model-making. The layout will feature stations where teams work on their creations, with additional workspaces for finishing and cleaning their models. At the end of the competition, participants will present their dioramas for judging, where attention to detail, creativity, and technical execution will determine the winners. Alongside the action, video cameras will capture every exciting moment.

This event is a unique opportunity for 3D printing enthusiasts and professionals to push their boundaries and transform ideas into reality. It’s more than a competition—it’s a revolution in model building, where participants are given the tools and the stage to bring their models to life quickly, demonstrating the incredible possibilities of 3D printing technology.
